Torre des Falcons Adaptation in Porto Cristo

Unmade project yet. This defence tower is thought to be built between XIII and XIV centuries and reconstructed in 1577. In 1936 was partially destroyed by the Republican forces bombardment. Later it was restored by the land owners. At present is cataloged in Catàleg dels Centres d’Interès de Manacor with number D-15, and the plot where is situated has BIC qualification. Because of its deterioration state, the local government proposed its restoration, giving to it an information use and lookout. The interventions that are proposed are: doing an access with spiral staircase, providing interior and exterior illumination, cleaning damp stains, recovering damage finishes, and restoring the interior stairs which gives access to terraced roof of the tower.
